Savory - Mountain
Mountain Savory is also referred to as Winter Savory and has a very old application as a seasoning in European cooking. It shares many constituents with Oregano and Thyme like thymol and carvacrol but has some other interesting peaks that are not as prevalent in the other herbs. One specific difference is the alpha humulene that is not less than three percent in this most recent distillation. While we list the country of origin as Italy some of these herbs are sourced in the Swiss Alps and parts of Austria as well.
